Cool game =)
VERY FUN! I liked that I had to try out a GBA emulator for this. Hope to see more like this.
Here's my playthrough if anyone wants to see:
Man I would LOVE some voice acting on this. _But not just one static voice line. Dynamic voice lines in different tones and articulation depending on your choices !! :O_
A harbinger, a wraith. The Jinn becoming a Spirit of Desolation, filled with hatred and mist.
Edit: Take your 2 Euros. You deserve it with this game.
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it so much!
All the reception to this little project has really left me inspired to come back and take the concept to a fleshed out, full length piece- so I'm deeply grateful for any and all feedback~
took me 2 hours to beat
CANT GET PAST OPENING SCENE
"pitch, hiding even your hands
should just be the Z key to progress the dialogue!
The theme and concept of this is so cool. But I would love to see this turned into a full game. It has so much charm, but there is little to really do. All-in-all, it's a wonderful short experience
Given the positive reception I'm strongly considering coming back to it and releasing a more full edition- I have some ideas, but I'd love to know what you'd like to see in a longer version?
It's hard to say really. But maybe if you make it like an escape room puzzle sort of style. That's what I initially thought it was to begin with before playing. Making it puzzle focused gameplay could make it more engaging. I was hoping to really use my brain to figure out what to do to get out of this coffin
Definitely close to what I think I'll end up doing, thanks for the input!
Great game the story is so good and im still just a bit confused but I dont want to spoil so yeah great game.
Really fun and cool story. Good job!
I love this! It’s so spooky and abstract! It leaves me still wondering; explaining everything would ruin the mood. Thanks for a great experience!
Thanks for playing! Glad you feel that way, as much as I'd love to polish it up I'm definitely unsure how much more I could add without detracting from the experience.
first run i think i set myself on fire, love it
nvm did it again fav death(?) honestly
Closest thing to a "canon" ending the game has fs
I love how just... eerie it is, doesn't use jumpscares or anything like that. It just has a natural spooky ambience
Into the good games box ✮✮✮✮✩
Yeeeesss thank you!! Jumpscares are well and good but I would always rather aim for more of an unsettling aura that just sticks with you.
The 20th installment of this is gonna be so fire.
prepare yourself for the inevitable remake that has like two additional dialogue options and one additional color added to the palette
i cried
another satisfied customer~
nice game! Interesting themes….
I hate the idea of being buried alive.. This is so good
Saaammee (exactly why I had to make it)
Gameboy visual novel and horror, go so hard together. I had a lot of fun, i felt no word or second was wasted. Perfectly immersed, in the last moments of life.
Thank you! I'm a huge fan of what lo-res graphics and minimal sound can do for horror, it's a great combo.
i adored this <3
very cool concept and execution!!!
Please pick another font. This game would be unplayable for anyone with trouble seeing or reading.
so true. The look is nice for the initial look at the page but makes it unplayable for many
oof I KNOW, I've gotten this feedback a lot since I first made it :')- unfortunately this was made like 9 months ago at this point, and I lost the actual file for the game, (it was a quick jam project that I never expected people to look at), so editing anything would require me to rebuild the game entirely. I do luckily still have all the art though, so once I finish my current project I might put up a more polished version of this!
quite unsettling lol i loved it
thanks! "vaguely unsettling" is what I strive for in my day to day life at all times, also pretty fond of "ominous" and "lightly menacing".
Great game creepy AF
highest compliment anyone could give tbh~
np i like the eye you use for the curser check my game out if you want just search jakeoff have a fun time making more awsome stuff like this
Really interesting! Loved the aesthetic!

Very interesting concept, great for a horror game. Well done.

good experience
thank uuuu~
How many endings are there?
Okay, so they're all same except for the dialogue.
yeah, I made it in a very short timeframe and didn't end up adding as much dynamic choice as I originally thought- that said I think I ultimately ended up preferring the more linear narrative and removing any real effective choice at that point.
This was very fun! Super interesting story and implications.
Churned it out in a frenzy in like two evenings so I'm very glad it resonated with you in some way~
damn this was fun
thank u for playing!! thrilled that you enjoyed it~
It was a great experience! I really liked the atmosphere of the game, though it was a bit hard to read.
thanks for playing! lessons were definitely learned in regards to the font lol
Wow, this was VERY good. Excellent writing and slow tense build up. Gave me an otherworldly squirmy feel.
yeeessss so glad it resonated!! I love the very crunchy feel elicited by lo-res 2D stuff, gbstudio is perfect for it. Thanks for playing!
Great little experience! Love the poetic dialog and the graphics and the strange setting - was an easy choice to keep playing and probably would have played for awhile.
Thank you!! Strongly considering fleshing it out a bit more, that's really validating to hear.
